One of my favorite Potluck Palanthropists, Art Roberts gave me a button that I wear on my bathrobe: CANCER SUCKS. It does. But let me tell you, there have been some real positive moments in this whole adventure. Today I was presented with a beautiful, handmade quilt made by the late Diana Dean of the Schoolcraft United Methodist Church's "Prayers and Squares Ministry". Every knot on the quilt represents a prayer that was said for the recipient. What a beautiful thing they do for people in times of trauma! Thank you to Jim Dean, Anita Balgenorth, and all the wonderful people at Schoolcraft United Methodist Church for caring about me.
