I know that Delta bought out Northwest Airlines and it's a whole new world, but I find it SHOCKING that Delta accidentally put unaccompanied minors on the wrong flights. My daughter did that program on NWA a few times when she was smaller. You pay DEARLY for the "supervision" that your child receives (especially when there is a conncecting flight as there was in this situation). Ask any parent who has done this, and they'll tell what they got for their money: zip.
I found the whole "kids flying solo" situation kind of depressing. While Emma was off to see grandparents and an uncle, most of the kids I saw at the airport seemed rather seasoned having to shuttle between divorced parents.
This is huge money for the airlines. Get it together, Delta.
