Kalamazoo is a hotbed of talent and we have another singer to root for.  Last night Debra Romer, a 21 year old student and waitress from Kalamazoo sang "Angel" by Sarah McLaughlin on "America's Got Talent" in the Chicago round and was sent on to Las Vegas.

Lovely girl.  Beautiful voice.  Sad story.  Debra told how her mother disappeared when she was 15 resulting in her being sent to foster care.  She's been on her own since the age of 17, the same age she learned to play the guitar.

I hope Kalamazoo gets behind her like we did with Matt Giraud.  Go Debra!
