Several airlines, including Delta, are now reserving a growing number of window and aisle seats for passengers willing to pay extra.

So the only way to sit next to a loved one or friend is to shell out an extra $25 each way. Not horrible if it is just two people, but if you are traveling with a family, that can add up quick.
