A new state audit says that about 1,500 dead people cast ballots in the past few years According to the Detroit Free Press. 

Here are some of the finding from the report by Auditor General Thomas McTavish

• Records showed 1,375 people listed as dead had voted a total of 1,381 times between Oct. 1, 2008, and June 9, 2011.

• Although state law prohibits voting by people who are incarcerated, 113 prisoners cast ballots during the same period.

• Local clerks were unclear about their responsibilities for the statewide voter database, the Qualified Voter File.

• Election officials didn't check campaign finance reports for errors within four days of filing, as required by state law.

I and many other Republicans will call for more study on this. Wonder why dead people and prisoners were still listed on the voter roles.

Meanwhile Democrats will ignore this and will say Republicans are trying to stop minorities from voting. 

I still cannot understand how Democrats can say 1,375 dead people voted, that is fine maybe figuring they voted for Democratic candidates.
