
KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) – For the second time in his career as a Bronco, placekicker John Potter has won the MAC West Special Teams Player Of The Week.
Potter was a perfect 5 for 5 at PATs and drilled a 40 yard field as the Broncos defeated Nicholls State Saturday Evening 38-7. With the 5 PATs, Potter extended his record of 78 straight made PATs.
Potter also showed his value on special teams, accumulating 2 tackles, raising his tackle total to 30, also a Bronco record for a kicker.
In 2010, Potter won the Special Teams Player Of The Week against Ball State, after recovering a fumble, making 2 tackles, and scoring an 8 yard touchdown run. He also had 6 PATs and a field goal against Ball State.
