How To Make Spaghetti Casserole

by Cindy Rippe

If you have kids, here's a recipe that even your pickiest eater will love! It's true comfort food! And it is very quick and easy to make. The original recipe was given to my by my good friend Dave. It was his mother's recipe, I've changed it up just a little bit! (sorry Dave) I really think you will enjoy it!!!

Start by browning 2 pounds of ground beef in a large skillet. Drain grease.

Add 1 medium chopped onion. Cook until onion is tender. Stir in 1 minced clove of garlic.

Cook pasta as directed on package. Drain and set aside.

Add 2 teaspoons salt, 1/2 tablespoon sugar, 15 oz. tomato sauce, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon oregano and 1 teaspoon paprika to the ground beef. Cover and simmer for about 8-10 minutes. (If mixture is too thick, add a little water)

Next stir in 1 8 oz. package ofcream cheese, mixing until it's melted.

Stir in 1 cup sour cream.

Stir until cheese and sour cream is melted and blended well. Add drained pasta. Mix well.

Pour mixture into a large baking dish sprayed with cooking oil.

Cover the top with shredded cheddar cheese. (I used about 1 cup)

Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes, or until heated through and cheese is melted.

Serve with a side salad and some garlic bread. MMMMMM!!!

It's even better the next day for leftovers!
