WMU's Corey Davis One of Three Broncos on a National Award Preseason Watch List

by Matt Buck

Last year's Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year will be able to add yet another credential to his resume.

WMU wide receiver Corey Davis has been named to the Biletnikoff national award preseason watch list, announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation on Tuesday.

Davis set WMU freshman receiving records in receiving yards and number of 100-yard receiving games and led all FBS freshman wide receivers in receiving yards and receiving yards per game.

Davis is one of only five sophomores on the list. He joins guard Jon Hoffing and cornerback Donald Celiscar as one of three Broncos on a national awards preseason watch list going into the 2014 season.

The 2014 Biletnikoff Award will be presented live on December 11, 2014, on the Home Depot College Football Awards Show. College and pro football hall of famer Fred Biletnikoff will announce the 2014 award winner on the show.
