GENEVA TOWNSHIP, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) — Flames destroyed a Geneva Township home, according to officials with South Haven Area Emergency Services.
A passerby alerted authorities and firefighters were dispatched at 10:11 a.m. Tuesday to the Van Buren County home, located at 20090 County Road 681, just east of County Road 380. There they found the two-story unoccupied home engulfed in flames.
No one was hurt.
Bangor Community Fire Department and Columbia Township Fire Department provided mutual aid. Water needed to be shuttled to the scene. Van Buren Sheriff deputies provided traffic control.
The Red Cross is assisting the home’s residents. The fire’s cause is being investigated.
